Derick is the co owner, creator and self taught wood worker at Under the Pines.

Rooted in respect for the land and a deep appreciation for craft, he honors the full journey of every piece of wood he touches. From living tree to finished form. His work is guided by patience and an understanding that the earth provides both material and meaning. Each piece reveals the natural character of the wood rather than overpower it, allowing grain, texture, and history to speak for themselves.

Working from his home workshop alongside his wife, he creates thoughtfully made pieces that reflect a shared life centered on simplicity, care, and connection. Together, they believe in slow work, honest materials, and craftsmanship that values sustainability over excess. Every creation carries the quiet story of where it came from, how it was made, and the hands that shaped it—offered from their home to yours.

Grace is the co owner, creator, and ceramicist behind

Under the Pines.

Her work is an offering shaped by hand, earth, and spirit. As a self-taught ceramicist, she creates intuitively, letting nature lead the way. The forest is her teacher, the clay her meditation. Nestled in the woods under towering pine trees, She runs their small home-based shop alongside her husband and two dogs. Each piece is formed slowly and intentionally, honoring the organic textures, rhythms, and imperfections found in nature. Her work is rooted in spirituality, and a deep connection to the earth.
